1909: JACK R. BERNE, assistant director and production manager on "The Amazing Colossal Man", is born.
1925: YUKIO MISHIMA, who wrote the play "Black Lizard" and played the human statue in film version, is born Kimitake Hiraoka in Tokyo.
1937: BENT MEJDING, who played Svend Viltorft in "Reptilicus", is born in Denmark.
1948: CARL WEATHERS, who played Eric in "The Bermuda Depths", is born in New Orleans. A former football player with the Oakland Raiders, he's best known as Apollo Creed in the "Rocky" films. His other films include "Bucktown", "Friday Foster", "Close Enounters of the Third Kind", "Semi-Tough", "Force 10 from Navarone", "Death Hunt", "Predator", and "Action Jackson", and the TV movies "Assault on Devil's Island" and "Shadow Warriors II: Hunt for the Death Merchant".

1969: DAVE GROHL, lead singer and guitarist of the Foo Fighters, who performed "A320" on the "Godzilla" soundtrack, is born in Warren, Ohio. He was previously the drummer for Nirvana.
1981: CHIHARU NIYAMA, who played reporter Yuri Tachibana in "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" and Tomoka Miura in "Ju-on: The Grudge 2", is born in Aomori City, Japan. She was also on "Ringu: The Final Chapter".
