I doubt they're going to use it as the score, but I expect to hear it at least over the end credits, if not here and there in the film.

And, for the love of Modok, not outsourced to some Hot New Group.

It must be Sabbath, or if it has to be a cover, then the one Ozzy did with Therapy? from the first "Nativity In Black" tribute album. Accept no substitutes.

Personally, I adore the neologism "mechano-thuggery." Thanks, Telstar!

After watching the trailer several more times, it looks to me like the bad guy--Stane--builds a twelve-foot-tall version of the scrap-metal suit and the third act will be the red and gold suit against the giant black steel one piloted by an insane Jeff Bridges.

I'm going to start calling the armor suit that Stane wears the Iron Jeff one, because I can.

I tend to agree that Iron Man's is one of the more interesting origins, if only because it was written back when Marvel was hugely into Commie-baiting and then abruptly found themselves on the wrong side of that particular cultural divide. I like that they shifted the perspective to turn it into the story of a warmongering death merchant who grows a conscience; this makes it close to Spiderman's origin, which is probably the best out there.

By the way, I think we just happen to be getting a lot of the origin in the trailer, and that most of it is set back home in America. I'm guessing the origin is the first act. But if nothing else, it's fairly elaborate and needs more than ten minutes of screentime.

Wrong side of the Commie-baiting devide?
Sure the victems of Pol Pot would appreciate that.
No,lets not go there...

The suits do look way cool. How well the story works out,we'll see.
Armor like this is the only way normal humans could survive in a meta-human environment.
Still, its the battles that make this kind of flick. If only we could get a Rami for this puppy...

Well we can assume that the suits aren't made out of iron any more so there's no reason to force the word iron into every name we give a guy with a large metal suit. anyone else like the name death metal?

Or perhaps we're looking at the prototype War Machine.

Flange, the only point is that Stan Lee himself admitted that the Iron Man origin was a complete misinterpretation of the Vietnam war. It has nothing to do with the evils of Pol Pot, just the fact that the gung-ho militaristic types back in America who were trying to set up the Vietnamese commies as "the new Nazis" who they could smash and thereby save the world were steering the country in the wrong direction.

If we're all speaking of the Stane suit....get this....it was called the Iron Monger.

Iron Monger Info

As far as the Sabbath tune....yeah, I'd agree with the Therapy? cover from NIB I.....just as long as they don't go with the Busta Rhymes/ Ozzy cover from the NIB II tribute CD. It's not a bad tune.....just not "Iron Man".

What Stan the man says is fine. Its his view.
But, the other side was no bed of roses. regardless of what America did, the Pol Pot victory still caused many killing fields. Their true nature came out when they won.
So,my comment still stands.
Our errors do not justify what they did,and vice/versa. Evil is evil. Its just easier to comment on our evils because,we need not yet fear the Gulags. They still do.

Enough. As the token conservitive here, I feel I have done my duty. I conciter the rable properly roused. So there :p

Now,about that armor. If you had that tin suit, what color sceme suits ya? I like Black and Yello,my self.
